Job summary

Ecumen Pathstone in St. Peter, MN is seeking a Part-Time Day Services Assistant to support Adult Day Services clients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10a–3p. You will help with daily activities, mobility, personal care, and transportation as part of a compassionate team.

Preferred candidates have a High School diploma or GED and may hold CNA/PCA certification or Alzheimer’s training. Paid time off and benefits accompany part-time roles where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Day Services Supervisor with daily programming and activities.
• Assist clients with personal care (toileting, showers, meals) and transfers.
• Supervise clients and volunteers in absence of Day Services Supervisor; ensure safety.
• Document client progress in accordance with laws and center policies.
• Provide opportunities for clients to participate in activities and events.
• Report significant observations or changes in client needs to supervisor.
• Assist with cleaning and upkeep of Day Center environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Day Services Assistant | Adult Day Services | Part-Time - Tues and Wed 10a-3p | St Peter, MN.

The Day Services Assistant is responsible for providing a positive, stable environment with stimulating activities for Adult Day Services (ADS) clients. This position is responsible for making ADS clients feel comfortable in their environment while supervising activities of daily living, including transferring, ambulation and transportation.

Pay

The targeted pay range for this job is $17.50 - $19.75 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities

1. Assists the Day Services Supervisor with implementing the daily programming, set-up and implementation of scheduled activities including special outings.
2. Assists clients with personal care including toileting, showers, and meals. Assists with transfers of all clients requiring assistance. Participates in a team approach to providing individualized quality care.
3. Supervises clients and volunteers in the absence of the Day Services Supervisor. Ensures the safety of all clients and staff in the Day Center by tracking and monitoring the location of each client.
4. Documents progress of clients according to State, Federal and Day Living laws, procedures and policies.
5. Provides opportunities for clients to participate as their abilities allow such as assisting with pushing client wheelchairs to and from special events and assistance with meal preparation in the day center.
6. Reports to Day Services Supervisor any significant observations or changes in client needs or abilities.
7. Assists Day Services Supervisor with cleaning of Day Center to ensure clients are in a well-maintained, clean environment.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements

Local Travel and Driver's License Required

• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
