Job summary

People Creating Success, Inc. in Newbury Park, CA is seeking a Day Program Instructor to lead adults with developmental disabilities through health and wellness activities, including exercise classes, yoga, cooking, and nutrition education.

You will support participants on a personalized curriculum and accompany them on community outings. The role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities at a weekday schedule from 7am to 4pm, with a $20.60 hourly wage, a $10/month cell phone stipend,

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain
• Valid drivers license required
• Compassionate with a person-centered mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead and support participants in health and wellness activities.
• Facilitate exercise classes with certified trainers.
• Lead yoga sessions with certified instructors.
• Run cooking classes focused on nutrition.
• Provide health education and guidance on healthy eating habits.
• Assist with community outings using company vans or public transportation.
• Collaborate with participants on a personalized curriculum focused on academics and socialization.
