Job summary

Sunrise Group is seeking Direct Support professionals to provide supervision and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a Day Program setting in Naples, FL. The role focuses on creating a positive environment, documenting training, and ensuring safety and compliance with plans and regulations.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, background checks, and prior experience in human services, with supervisory responsibilities desired.

Qualifications

• Background and drug screenings required.
• Valid Driver's License with endorsements and 3+ years driving experience.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years in the human services field.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to staff and individuals in the Day Program.
• Create and maintain a positive learning environment for employees and individuals.
• Ensure accurate and efficient billing and staffing for daily revenue.
• Implement and document training, support and behavior plans as required by the individual’s plan and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain safety by accounting for all employees and individuals on site, in the van, and on trip activities.
• Ensure policy compliance through monitoring and training of staff.
• Provide constructive feedback to employees through mentoring and role modeling.

Purpose:

To provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community.

Qualifications:

• Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug Screenings


• Must possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.


• Must possess basic computer skills


• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent


• Minimum two years of experience working in the human service field


• Minimum two year of supervisory experience

Essential Functions:

• Provides support, supervision to all staff and individuals in the Day Program setting
