Job summary

LADACIN Network in Ocean County, New Jersey is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional Instructor to join our Adult Day Program team. This full-time position supports adults with developmental and physical disabilities through community activities and individualized programming.

The instructor will assist in implementing individual program goals and facilitating meaningful activities. Candidates must have an Associate's Degree, ideally experience with similar populations, and strong communication skills. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Must pass all required background and employment screenings.
• Previous experience working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Eligibility for New Jersey Department of Education certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Our mission is to provide a continuum of care through educational, therapeutic, social, residential, and support services for infants, children, and adults.

Direct Support Professional Instructor

Full-Time, 35-Hour Position

Position Summary

LADACIN Network is seeking a compassionate and motivated Direct Support Professional Instructor to join our Adult Day Program team. This full-time position provides support to adults with developmental and physical disabilities through community-based activities, skill development, and individualized programming designed to promote independence, inclusion, and personal growth.

The Direct Support Professional Instructor assists in implementing individual program goals, facilitating meaningful activities based on participant choice, and providing personal care support as needed.

Sign-on Bonus: $1,000

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized program goals
• Plan and facilitate community-based activities that reflect participant interests and choices
• Support participants in developing daily living, social, and vocational skills
• Provide personal care assistance as needed
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants
• Maintain accurate documentation and program records
• Work collaboratively with team members, families, and other support professionals
• Promote participant independence, dignity, and community inclusion

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous experience working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities preferred
• Eligibility for New Jersey Department of Education certification preferred
