Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. seeks a Day Program Coordinator to oversee daily operations for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

You will supervise staff, ensure adherence to individual service plans, and maintain safety and documentation standards while coordinating meaningful community participation. You will train and coach staff, manage schedules, and ensure accurate reporting and timely payroll processing.

Qualifications

• Requires associate degree or 1–3 years of relevant supervision experience.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate day-to-day operations.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Medication Certification through DDS must be obtained within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operation of the day program and ensure staff coverage.
• Supervise and support staff while following DDS and CPM guidelines.
• Maintain safety, equipment, vehicles and sanitary standards.
• Maintain staff schedules to meet program needs.
• Ensure implementation of individual service plans and behavior support plans.
• Complete documentation within required timeframes.
• Provide staff training and coaching on program implementation and quality standards.
• Coordinate community activities supporting independence and skill development.
• Track reports and payroll data; forward to Payroll timely.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, families, guardians, and transport providers.
• Review policies and procedures with staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Day Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination and oversight of day program services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Day Program Coordinator works with program staff to ensure the consistent implementation of individual service plans, teaching strategies, documentation requirements, safety practices, and organizational policies. This position provides staff supervision, supports meaningful community participation, and helps maintain high-quality services that promote individual choice, independence, and personal growth.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operation of the day program and ensure appropriate staff coverage.
• Effectively supervise and support staff to benefit the individuals served while adhering to DDS and CPM guidelines.
• Ensure program areas, equipment, and vehicles are maintained and operated in a safe and sanitary manner consistent with applicable regulations.
• Create and maintain consistent and effective staff schedules to support program needs and optimize hours worked.
• Ensure individual service plans, goals, behavior support plans, and other program requirements are implemented as written.
• Complete and review all documentation related to individual and programmatic needs within required timeframes.
• Provide staff training, coaching, and oversight regarding program implementation, documentation, and quality standards.
• Coordinate meaningful day activities and community-based opportunities that support individual choice, independence, and skill development.
• Collect, review, and distribute required reports, including incident reports, individual plan reviews, behavior data, attendance records, and progress documentation.
• Track hours worked, prepare bi-weekly payroll information, and forward required records to Payroll in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe environment that meets local, state, DDS, and CPM requirements.
• Review program rules, policies, procedures, and expectations with staff as necessary.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, families, guardians, staff, transportation providers, and other members of the support team.
• Comply with all CPM and DDS personnel policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a related field or one to three years of relevant work experience.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Medication Certification through DDS must be acquired within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment, when required for the position.
