Job summary

APEL Extrusions is seeking a Production/Pack Worker for the day shift in Coburg, Oregon. The role supports the extrusion and fabrication operations with safe, efficient packaging and handling of products.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, following work orders, reading dimensional prints, and complying with safety and quality policies. PPE is provided, and a benefits package accompanies this full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing/Production/Warehouse experience required.
• Exposure to a production environment with noise, moving machinery, forklifts and temperature changes.
• Personal Protective Equipment provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate large industrial equipment.
• Wear PPE at all times (ear plugs, safety glasses, boots).
• Follow quality management system policies and procedures.
• Review and follow work order instructions and best practices.
• Adhere to and promote all safety requirements.

Production/Pack Worker - Day Shift

APEL Extrusions is an independent extruder, finisher and fabricator of aluminum extrusions serving the commercial, residential, and industrial markets of Western Canada and the Western United States. With locations in Calgary, Canada, Coburg, Oregon, and Phoenix, Arizona.

• Day Shift Production/Pack Helper
  • Monday - Thursday 7am - 5pm

General Duties and responsibilities

• Work with large industrial equipment.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment - ear plugs, safety glasses, and boots - at all times.
• Comply with all policies and procedures in accordance with our quality management system
• Review and follow work order instructions and best practice requirements.
• Adhere and promote all safety requirements.
• Read and understand dimensional prints.
• Operate a forklift.

Skills

• High degree of independence and accountability - Good attendance is required.
• Detailed oriented individual able to frequently perform multiple tasks at a given time.
• Able to independently perform simple calculations.
• Communicate well and interact with others effectively.
• Working knowledge of extrusion press responsibilities.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and ability to lift, push, pull at least 25 pounds.
