Job summary

OnPoint Building Services in Virginia Beach is seeking an Outdoor Day Porter/Cleaner for the Town Center area. You will perform routine cleaning of commercial offices and outdoor spaces, including trash disposal, dusting, disinfecting, sweeping, and restroom upkeep.

A clean background and the ability to pass a drug screen are required, along with a valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a minimum age of 18.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have valid state driver license with clean driving record.
• Must have reliable transportation to job location.
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Collection and disposal of trash (small and large cans) and cigarette stations.
• Dusting surfaces.
• Wiping and disinfecting surfaces.
• Sweeping and mopping floors.
• Restroom cleaning and restocking.
• Office area cleaning.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned areas per schedule.
• Follow safety guidelines and meet quality standards.
• Communicate with customers as needed.
• Report building needs to operations.

General Purpose:

Ensuring the accurate and timely cleaning of commercial offices. You will need a clean background check and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collection and disposal of trash (small and large cans) and cigarette stations
• Dusting.
• Wiping and disinfecting surfaces.
• Sweeping.
• Mopping.
• Restroom cleaning, restocking, and replenishing.
• Office area cleaning.
• Ensures timely completion of assigned cleaning area(s) according to schedule
• Follows safety guidelines, quality standards, and ensures customer service expectations are met.
• Performs other janitorial duties as needed.
• Communicate with customers on an as needed basis
• Communicate any building needs or concerns to operations
• Help with special projects such as construction cleans
• Cleaning of loading docks
• Remove and return trash compactor container
• Pressure Washing exterior of building as scheduled and requested
• Clean lobbies, elevators, stairwells, bathrooms, water fountains, common areas, entrance to the building front and back
