CCS Facility Services is hiring a Day Porter in Houston, TX to maintain common areas of office buildings and similar facilities. Responsibilities include spot cleaning, vacuuming, restroom checks, trash removal, and reporting safety issues to management. Daily coordination with building engineers may be required.

Responsibilities

• Spot clean the lobby glass doors.
• Polish chrome on lobby doors.

• Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor.
• Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles.
• Check restrooms twice daily.
• Vacuum lobby daily or as needed.
• Sweep stairwells, remove debris from landscaped areas.
• Sweep building entrances and polish railings and doors.

Guided by a Service Heart we are a company Built to Serve with a passion to exceed our customer’s expectations.**Job Details:**A Day porter is responsible for maintaining common areas of office buildings, apartment houses, or other commercial or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties:**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Spot clean the lobby glass doors* Polish chrome on lobby doors* Vacuum elevator cabs and wipe cab doors, walls, and tops twice a day* Inspect the building exterior and pick up any trash* Clean ashtrays and sand urns on every floor* Empty and clean exterior trash receptacles* Check restrooms twice daily* Vacuum lobby once a day or as needed* Sweep stairwells and landings as needed* Remove all debris from landscaped areas as needed* Sweep building entrances* Clean and remove smudges and marks on walls, doors, and wall covering* Report any lights out (exit, directory boards, etc.) to the Management Office* Report any solicitors to the Management Office* Where applicable, police lobby to keep floors and planters free of paper, debris, etc. Policing should be scheduled at high-traffic times each day.
