Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Day Porter/Janitorial Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities in Tallassee, Alabama.

The role requires attention to detail, familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment, and the ability to work independently. Part-time shifts are available (2:00 pm–8:00 pm or 7:00 am–1:00 pm, Monday–Friday). Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.

Overview

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Day Porter/Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. This role plays a critical part inmaintainingthe overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.00 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

1 x PART TME: M-F: 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and 1 x PART TIME: M-F: 07:00 am to 1:00 pm.
