Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Day Porter in Birmingham, AL to perform cleaning duties and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities.

You will follow safety procedures, report issues to your supervisor, and assist with setup for meetings or events as needed. Prior cleaning experience and attention to detail are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain hygiene.
• Empty trash and recycling following company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
• Empty trash and recycling bins andwastein accordance withcompany policies
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor
• Assistwith setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation
