TeamHealth is seeking a day shift hospitalist for St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, TX. The role supports an established program with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists local to Austin, operating on a 7-on/7-off schedule.

The position involves caring for adult inpatients in a closed ICU setting, with typical daily encounters and a focus on rapid response to codes. Meditech is used for documentation and patient records.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Inpatient hospitalist experience with adult patients.
• Willing to work a 7on/7off day schedule (7a–7p).

Responsibilities

• Provide daily hospitalist coverage for adult inpatients on the day shift.
• Respond to codes and support the codes team; no procedures required.
• Collaborate with nocturnists and other hospitalists across St. David’s Georgetown.
• Utilize Meditech EMR for patient care and documentation.

Job DescriptionTeamHealth has a new day shift hospitalist opening at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in Austin, Texas. This is an established program between TeamHealth and HCA staffed with internal medicine hospitalists and nocturnists that are all local to Austin. Our physicians work a traditional 7-on, 7-off schedule.St. David’s Georgetown has 118 beds but only 50 beds are handled by the hospitalist program. We are currently staffing with 2 daytime physicians (7a-7p); 1 swing physician (2p-7p), and 1 nocturnist physician (7p-7a). This is a closed ICU setting, averaging 20-22 total patient encounters per day shift clinician and an average of 7 admissions at night, seeing 60-70 cross coverage patients. We do not require our clinicians to perform procedures within this role. You only need to respond to codes for your patients, so you are able to assist the codes team.
