Job summary

US Foods, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Warehouse Selector to transport pallet loads with powered equipment, secure pallets, and replenish pick slots to maintain inventory for night shift selections.

You will perform safety checks, document damages, and work in a multi-temperature environment; OSHA forklift certification and strong reading/computational skills are required, with benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Transports pallet loads of product from dock to correct warehouse slot using powered industrial equipment and insures all pallets are secure in designated slots to avoid damage or injury when product is selected.

Replenishes pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night shift selection.

Performs operations and safety check, including battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.

Records all product, equipment and warehouse damage.

Maintains the cleanliness of aisles by removing any debris from floor and racks.

Follows safety policies and practices at all times.

RELATIONSHIPS

Internal: Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Control

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to read and write legibly; basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); must be able to understand Voxware commands.

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING

• OSHA compliant Forklift Certification required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior Selector experience preferred
• Prior Forklift Operator experience preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is $25.31.

This role may also receive overtime compensation as applicable.
