Job summary

ServiceNet's Day Counselor – Job Coach role supports adults with developmental disabilities in Work Crew CBDS in Springfield, MA, providing direct 1:1 supervision during work crews, ADL training, life skills workshops, wellness activities, and community outings to build independence.

You will coordinate individualized activities, apply behavioral strategies with the clinical team, and transport participants to community sites while maintaining safety and professionalism in a busy community

Qualifications

• Experience with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex behavioral needs in day programs or related settings.
• Ability to provide hands-on ADL support.
• Training in behavioral support and de-escalation (or willing to obtain).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for independent work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Background check (CORI/Fingerprint) required.
• CPR, First Aid, and PABC certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioral support and implement interventions.
• Supervise work crews: landscaping, detailing, maintenance.
• Offer 1:1 coaching for higher-need participants.
• Facilitate ADL training, life skills, and wellness activities.
• Transport participants to activities and ensure safety.
• Collaborate with clinical team on behavior plans.
