Cal Farley's Boys Ranch is seeking a Day Care Assistant to support the Carter Daycare Program. The role ensures a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment, assisting with supervision, activities, meals, and documentation while aligning with program guidelines and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year childcare experience preferred in a licensed facility.
• Strong time-management and detail-oriented skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Must be available for travel as needed.
• Bending, lifting, grasping, and prolonged sitting/standing are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate lessons, recreation and learning experiences for children in care.
• Supervise children safely and maintain hygiene in line with program guidelines.
• Assist with meals and snacks.
• Assist with documentation, record-keeping and audits.
• Communicate thoroughly and promptly with parents about day care progress, behavior and needs.
• Assist in procuring and maintaining physical resources.
• Interact appropriately with day care children and Boys Ranch residents.

The Day Care Assistant supports the daily operations of the Carter Daycare Program by providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children in care. This role assists with child supervision, educational and recreational activities, routine care needs, and program documentation while maintaining compliance with program guidelines and organizational standards. The Day Care Assistant works collaboratively with daycare staff, parents, and Boys Ranch personnel to support children's growth, safety, and well-being.

Requirements

• Exhibits regular and punctual attendance
• Provides appropriate child supervision, in accordance with Carter Daycare program guidelines. Assures child safety and appropriate hygiene
• Provides age-appropriate lessons, recreation and learning experiences for children in care
• Assists with meals and snacks
• Assists with documentation, record-keeping and audits
• Communicates in a thorough and timely manner with parents regarding day care child/children's progress, behavior, needs and related information
• Assists in procuring and maintaining physical resources
• Exhibits appropriate interaction with day care children and Boys Ranch residents

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required
• A minimum of 1 year childcare preferred, preferably in a licensed facility
• Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Must be available for travel as needed
• Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
