Job summary

Deerfields Bakery in Buffalo Grove is looking for a Day Baker to join our growing company. Daytime hours, approximately 6:00am-2:30pm. We are a retail and wholesale company in the baking industry.

Our ideal employee will have great communication skills, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be able to work at a fast pace. Experience preferred but will train the right candidate. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacation, and generous employee discount.

Qualifications

• Follow recipes and procedures.
• Ability to measure, mix, shape and bake according to the production schedule.
• Experience with laminated dough preferred.
• Organize ingredient storage, supplies, equipment and workspaces.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.
• Sanitation certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and procedures as part of daily baking tasks.
• Measure, mix, shape and bake according to the production schedule.
• Work with laminated dough during production.
• Organize ingredients, supplies, equipment, and workspaces for efficient workflow.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace throughout shift.
