Job summary

Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) is seeking a Day Ahead Operator to own and manage the Day Ahead market process from case creation through market approval. You will work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to reliability and efficiency, with no overnight shifts but year-round coverage.

The role requires at least four years in the electric utility industry or an equivalent RTO background, plus a Bachelor's degree or eight years of experience, and NERC/RC certification.

Responsibilities

• Own the Day Ahead market process from start to finish: case creation, constraint management, congestion mitigation, and market approval.

• Balance and optimize market operations with a focus on 365-day coverage without overnight shifts.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of four years of electric utility industry or RTO experience
• Bachelor's degree in a related field OR eight years of equivalent work experience
• NERC/RC certification

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $130,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
