Job summary

Western Valley Meat Company is seeking team members for the Harvest Cattle Handling Department. You will unload cattle from trucks, care for cattle on site, provide feed, and move cattle between areas. You will also log cattle into computer systems and monitor health and welfare.

This role requires physical work outdoors in hot, humid, or cold conditions. Drug screens and background checks are required. Safety PPE must be worn per policy.

Qualifications

• Prior cattle handling experience preferred.
• Ability to pass drug screen.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Willingness to work outdoors in hot, humid or cold weather.
• Must follow safety procedures and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Unload cattle from trucks and move them between areas.
• Care for cattle on site and provide feed as needed.
• Record cattle intake into computer systems.
• Check health and welfare of cattle at receipt.
• Operate in a team to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
