The Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor is seeking a Catering Cook to prepare meals for University of Michigan student-athletes and athletic department staff on campus.

This full-time position features an early start at 5:00 AM, evenings off, and a schedule that supports personal time while delivering high-quality, on-site dining.

You will follow recipe cards, rotate stock, maintain safety and sanitation, and help keep buffet stations stocked and guest interactions friendly and professional.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.
• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards.
• Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to overprepare estimated needs.
• Date all food containers and rotate as per Graham Hotel System's Hospitality standards, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas.
• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss and usage per Graham Hotel System's Hospitality standards.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron and flat top grill.
• This position involves interacting with guests, taking special requests, and creating a memorable dining experience by offering personalized attention and engaging with them in a friendly and professional manner.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
