Job summary

Evotec SE in Seattle, WA is seeking a Scientific Applications Engineer/DataOps Manager to lead software development for large-scale data capture, management, and analysis across biotherapeutic development. The role combines building web interfaces, collaborating with scientists, and managing data pipelines to ensure uptime and performance.

The DataOps Manager will oversee user feedback, training, and internal communications, while bridging scientific staff and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in scientific software development.
• Strong Java development experience; proficiency in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Develop and/or implement data handling and analysis systems.
• Develop code and data structure definitions for integrating and visualizing data.
• Support and extend existing data management and visualization pipelines, code, and databases.
• Work with scientific staff to collect requirements, understand workflows, and review prototype systems.
• Communicate results to senior management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and platforms to ensure uptime and performance.
• Manage user feedback and bug reports, forwarding them to appropriate functional teams.
• Support user adoption, develop training programs, and communicate changes in data practices.
