Black Canyon Consulting is looking for a DataOps Engineer to support the NCBI in Bethesda, MD. This is a full-time role offering both onsite and remote work options. You will join a new team focused on developing an enterprise-wide DataOps platform, utilizing modern technologies such as Kubernetes and containerization.

Applicants should have a B.S. in a STEM field and strong coding skills in programming languages like Python or C++. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $150,000 along with an extensive benefits package that includes healthcare and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in at least one programming language.
• Experience in cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of modern data processing applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve DataOps platform.
• Evaluate new technologies and practices.
• Ensure compliance with security regulations.

Skills

Strong coding skills in Python or C++

Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Knowledge of Apache Kafka

Familiarity with Apache AirFlow

Understanding of cloud-based data processing infrastructure
