Location: Austin, TX Onsite

The Role:

Client’s high-profile SoC Platform Engineering team is seeking a hardworking system-engineering lab technician to help test the latest SoC products and contribute to issue identification, replication, and problem resolution. This role will be pivotal in bringing client’s next generation SoC based products into Data Center products.

The Person:

The technician is responsible for the deployment of NPI engineering projects involving AMD IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debug of client server hardware infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

1. Rack and stack server across Data Center environment.
2. Maintain power and network cable standards per defined client Data Center guidelines.
3. Maintain inventory of assets and lab infrastructure across programs.
4. Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities.
5. Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, both written and oral
• High attention to detail and good follow-through in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in data center system deployment and asset management
• Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
• Ability to function independently with little supervision
• Willingness to travel on short notice
• Physical requirements: able to lift 50 lbs and work under a raised floor as needed

Education:
