Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a seasoned Commissioning & Startup Leader to supervise onsite CSU projects, directing teams or working independently. You will review execution plans, support project managers, and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

The role requires extensive travel and deep knowledge of CSU disciplines. Ideal candidates have a BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of field operations, startup, and commissioning experience,

Qualifications

• Field experience in plant operations
• Startup and commissioning experience required
• Willingness to travel both within the United States and abroad (approx. 60%)
• Willingness to take longer assignments at project locations
• Possess a valid TWIC card or be able to obtain one
• Ability to learn a wide variety of plant disciplines including Electrical, Piping, Mechanical, Controls & Automation, Instrumentation, and Plant Process Systems
• Demonstrated leadership ability with team orientation
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in safety at all client sites
• Develop detailed Project Execution Plans (PEPs)
• Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans
• Develop startup procedures and training manuals
• Provide input at PHA’s and HAZOP meetings
• Lead commissioning and startup of facilities/projects
• Assist clients with startup of plants/projects
• Participate in plant troubleshooting and optimization
• Travel and coordinate with client management for progress reports
