Job summary

Slalom seeks a Databricks data engineering consultant to lead design and delivery of modern lakehouse data platforms. You will work under a Solution Architect to build scalable data pipelines, contribute to the Databricks Center of Excellence, and help deliver value to enterprise clients.

Candidate should have 5+ years in data engineering with hands-on Databricks experience, strong SQL/Python, and familiarity with Airflow, dbt, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 5 years of data engineering experience with Databricks and data pipeline design.
• Hands-on experience with Delta Lake, Iceberg, Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog.
• Strong SQL and Python; programming in Java or PySpark is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD and IaC tools like Terraform; familiar with Airflow or dbt.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data solutions on the Databricks platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize data pipelines for batch and streaming data.
• Stay current with Databricks features and related data engineering technologies.
