Job summary

White & Case LLP seeks a Databricks Engineer to join the BI engineering team in Tampa. You will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and curated data products that integrate on-premises, cloud, and third-party sources using Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.

Collaboration with analysts and architects ensures data quality and governance. You will apply SQL and Python/PySpark to transform data, support data products for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases while advancing platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering, computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of production data engineering, data warehouse, or BI solutions.
• Hands-on Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architecture.
• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark for data transformation and pipelines.
• Experience with batch data ingestion, ELT, orchestration, monitoring, and data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and support scalable data pipelines on Azure Databricks.
• Develop ingestion and transformation for on-premises, cloud, SaaS sources (batch/streaming).
• Use SQL and Python/PySpark to transform and optimize large datasets.
• Manage data structures across layers using dimensional modeling and star schemas.
• Govern data assets with Unity Catalog, access controls, lineage, and documentation.
