Job summary

Tieto Tech Consulting is seeking a Data Engineer in the United States to design and implement scalable data platforms and analytics solutions.

You will collaborate with data architects, BI developers, and stakeholders in an Agile setting, building ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and SQL while optimizing performance on Azure data services.

We value curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights across financial services and other industries.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a similar role, with strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, plus experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud data platform, data lakes, data warehouses, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark/PySpark, and SQL.
• Build lakehouse and data platform solutions for Banking and Financial Services, including data quality, reconciliation, lineage, and monitoring.
• Optimize Spark workloads, Delta tables, and pipeline performance while supporting modernization from legacy ETL/data warehouse solutions.
