Job summary

Blue Ocean Ventures seeks a senior data engineer with 8+ years of data and cloud experience to lead Databricks-driven initiatives. You will design and optimize Databricks architectures and support data modernization projects across on-prem to cloud migrations.

The role emphasizes Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks SQL Warehouses, along with cloud storage (ADLS Gen2 / S3 / GCS) and Power BI. Strong SQL and data modeling skills are essential for enterprise semantic models and scalable data

8+ years of overall data & cloud experience with strong Databricks architecture background

Hands-on experience with Databricks in at least one data modernization or migration project

Delta Lake Lakehouse & Databricks SQL Warehouses

Cloud data lake storage (ADLS Gen2 / S3 / GCS) with Unity Catalog

Power BI (enterprise semantic models)

Experience migrating from legacy systems (on-prem databases, traditional DWs, legacy ETL tools)
