Job summary

Anblicks is seeking a Databricks Architect to lead lakehouse modernization initiatives from legacy data platforms. The role focuses on Delta architecture, data modeling, migration planning, and governance across enterprise-scale client programs.

You will drive design reviews with client teams, guide build teams, and apply AI-assisted acceleration to optimize Spark workloads for scale and cost. Onsite in the Dallas area evaluates complex data estates.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering/architecture.
• 4+ years architecting Databricks/lakehouse at enterprise scale.
• Experience with legacy-to-cloud migrations and data validation.
• Strong Delta data modeling and Spark performance engineering.
• Unity Catalog governance experience preferred.
• dbt on Databricks and multi-cloud (AWS primary) experience a plus.
• Ability to both design and implement complex solutions.

Job Description:

We are seeking a Databricks Architect to drive design, data modeling, and solution strategy for migrations from legacy data platforms to the Databricks lakehouse. The role sets Delta architecture standards and cutover-safe migration patterns across multiple concurrent client builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Design target-state lakehouse architectures: Delta patterns, medallion layering, workflow orchestration, governance, and performance engineering.
• Drive data modeling on Delta for complex enterprise domains; align shared frameworks (transformation, validation, lineage) to Databricks equivalents.
• Define migration plans, load strategies, validation and reconciliation approaches, and cutover designs for lakehouse targets.
• Lead design reviews with client architecture teams and guide build teams hands-on.
• Apply AI-assisted and accelerator-driven conversion approaches; tune Spark workloads for scale and cost.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in data engineering/architecture; 4+ years architecting Databricks/lakehouse solutions at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience across data platform modernization programs (legacy to modern cloud platforms), including AI-enabled and accelerator-driven delivery, migration planning, data validation and reconciliation strategies, parallel runs, and cutover execution.
• Strong Delta data modeling and Spark performance engineering; Unity Catalog governance preferred.
• dbt on Databricks and multi-cloud (AWS primary) experience a plus.
• MarTech or customer data exposure a plus.
• Ability to both drive design and execute.
