Job summary

CTG is seeking a Databricks Administrator for our client in Dallas, TX. This 11-month contract focuses on administering Databricks, dbt, and Snowflake, and supporting data engineering and BI initiatives.

You will develop data pipelines, collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders, and ensure security and reliability across the data platform, including AWS integrations.

Bachelor's degree preferred; strong English communication and hands-on cloud data experience are required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Databricks environments, including workspace configuration, access management, security, and performance monitoring.
• Support data engineering and BI initiatives using Databricks, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and data transformation processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and stakeholders to support enterprise data solutions.
• Assist with data modeling, data architecture, and the design of scalable analytics solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across the data platform.
• Support integration of Databricks and Snowflake with AWS-based data and analytics environments.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analytics.
• Ensure data solutions follow established security, governance, performance, and reliability standards.

Duties:

• Administer and support Databricks environments, including workspace configuration, access management, security, and performance monitoring.

• Support data engineering and business intelligence initiatives leveraging Databricks, dbt, and Snowflake.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data transformation processes.

• Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders to support enterprise data solutions.

• Assist with data modeling, data architecture, and the design of scalable analytics solutions.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across the data platform.

• Support integration of Databricks and Snowflake with AWS-based data and analytics environments.

• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analytics.

• Ensure data solutions follow established security, governance, performance, and reliability standards.

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably within AWS.

• Experience designing or supporting data models and data architectures.

• Experience troubleshooting data platform, pipeline, and performance issues.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field preferred.

• Equivalent education and relevant professional experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
