Job summary

Le’fant is seeking a Database Technician to join a team and manage complex databases, guiding design, performance, and security under a lead.

You will install, maintain, and optimize RDMS systems (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server) and design SQL queries to retrieve data as directed, within an agile, collaborative environment. Strong communication, learning aptitude, and a US-workable status are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, maintenance, and administration of an RDMS such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Ability to design and develop SQL queries and reports.
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment.
• Familiarity with database partitioning.
• Familiarity with cloud-native databases including AWS RDS and DynamoDB.
• Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle in a team-oriented, collaborative, agile environment.
• Experience with ServiceNow, GitHub, Jira.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong aptitude and enthusiasm for learning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and implement one or more complex databases under guidance of a lead.
• Assist with planning and engineering of the organization's databases.
• Monitor performance, scalability, and security.
• Evaluate existing database design for updates and integration requirements.
• Perform routine database administration tasks and logging in database logs.
