Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Database Engineering Intern to contribute to database projects, learn intern mentoring, and gain hands-on experience with cloud data warehouse technologies.

You will work on SQL development, data modeling, and performance benchmarking, collaborating with engineers to deliver scalable database solutions for AWS customers.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C.
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL.
• Knowledge of CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in technical support.
• Experience with written and verbal communication and presentation.
• Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across multiple organizations.
• Are 18 years of age or older.

Mansioni

• Assist with database design, data modeling, and SQL development.
• Write and optimize SQL queries involving multiple tables and large datasets.
• Analyze database workloads and identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Participate in performance benchmarking and testing of database workloads.
• Develop scripts and software tools to automate repetitive engineering tasks.
• Learn about distributed database architectures, query processing, and database system internals.
• Investigate technical issues and work with engineers to identify and evaluate potential solutions.
