The Database Development role at Themesoft Inc. involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust Oracle PL/SQL packages and PostgreSQL objects, plus tuning queries and optimizing performance across Oracle and PostgreSQL.
You will migrate Oracle PL/SQL code to PostgreSQL, build RESTful APIs for integration, and develop ETL processes and data pipelines while collaborating with DevOps, QA, and application teams to ensure secure, scalable database solutions.
Database Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust Oracle PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and complex SQL queries, PostgreSQL database objects, including functions, procedures, triggers, and views using PL/pgSQL.
Database Migration & Conversion: Analyze Oracle database objects, map dependencies, and assist in migrating Oracle PL/SQL code to PostgreSQL while ensuring functionality and performance.
Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot slow-running SQL queries, optimize execution plans, indexing strategies, partitioning, and database performance across Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.
API Development & Integration (Preferred): Design, develop, consume, and support RESTful APIs for seamless integration between databases and enterprise applications. Collaborate with application teams to expose database services through APIs.
Data Integration: Build, maintain, and support ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure accurate and efficient data movement across systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, architects, and business analysts to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality database solutions.
Documentation & Deployment: Prepare technical documentation, deployment scripts, release procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for database changes and production deployments.
