Compensation: $40/hr to $45/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Must Haves:

• Willing to work a 1 month contract
• Extensive experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including creating and managing dashboards.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including functions, formulas, and familiarity with VBA for automating repetitive tasks.
• Knowledge of SQL for querying databases and understanding data structures, which is critical for building effective data models.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team in support of one of our federal clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with Power BI, and will be responsible for automating data processes. This includes pulling data from Excel sheets and ensuring that the Power BI dashboards are updated automatically and efficiently to facilitate real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Automation: Develop and implement automated processes to extract data from Excel sheets, transforming it as necessary, and loading it into Power BI to ensure real-time updates on dashboards.
• Dashboard Development: Design and create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly convey data insights while aligning with stakeholder requirements.
• Data Modeling and Transformation: Use Power Query to prepare and transform data from various sources, ensuring that the data models are optimized for reporting.
• Integration of Data Sources: Collaborate with IT staff and data engineers to set up or modify connections for data sources, particularly focusing on seamless integration from Excel to Power BI.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor the dashboards and reports for performance issues and reliability; optimize processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• User Collaboration: Work closely with program stakeholders to gather reporting needs and translate those into technical specifications for Power BI solutions.
• Documentation and Training: Maintain accurate documentation of data processes and Power BI reports. Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use the dashboards.
• Compliance Adherence: Ensure that all reporting solutions adhere to relevant federal regulations, standards, and security protocols for data handling and visualization.
