Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a professional to program high-quality clinical databases supporting assigned segments of the Pfizer portfolio. You will design, develop, and maintain clinical databases, ensure data integrity, and apply standards to asset and submission data.

Collaborate with cross-functional study teams to create data capture solutions, support timely data delivery, comply with SOPs, and learn Pfizer database technologies while developing knowledge of data capture tools and methods.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Life Science, CS or related field.
At least 1 year of pharma/biotech/CRO data collection experience.
Experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, SAS, Java, and relational DB design.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work on-site ~2.5 days/week.

Job description

Program high-quality clinical databases supporting assigned segments of the Pfizer portfolio
Design, develop, and maintain clinical databases
Ensure clinical data integrity
Apply standards supporting consistency in asset and submission data
Work with department roles and cross-functional study team members to create data capture solutions
Support quality and timely delivery of data according to standard and study-specific data review plans
Comply with applicable SOPs and work practices

Develop knowledge of data capture tools and methods supporting study data accuracy and integrity

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline, Computer Science or other relevant discipline
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or Regulatory Agency with an emphasis on building data collection and assimilation solutions
Experience in Oracle, PL/SQL, SAS, Java, and relational database design
Database programming skills
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Experience using relational databases such as Oracle InForm, Oracle DMW, MS SQL Server, or MS Access
Understanding of the drug development process and data operations required for reporting clinical trial data
Understanding of regulatory requirements and relevant data standards
Must work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week and live within commuting distance to the site
Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
Requires permanent work authorization in the United States
U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future
