Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking a Database Administrator to ensure the availability and performance of transactional databases. Responsibilities include installations, upgrades, backup and recovery, tuning, security, and monitoring to support business operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years with relational databases; experience with Postgres, MS SQL Server or Elasticsearch and Agile development is preferred. This is an on-site position based in Nashville, TN.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.
3+ years of experience with relational databases required.
Experience with Postgres, MS SQL Server and/or Elasticsearch preferred.
Agile development experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform installations, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring and configuration.
Define standards for physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration.
Create, maintain and troubleshoot automated database jobs.
Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity and performance issues.
Monitor server and database metrics and respond to alerts.
Design and implement approaches to improve database performance, capacity and scalability.
