The University of Iowa is seeking a Clinical Research Data Analyst to provide data management and analysis for the Department of Otolaryngology. You will design and implement database functionality, articulate data needs, and fulfill data requests across research teams.
Responsibilities include creating queries, cleansing and validating data, developing dashboards, and collaborating with researchers and IT to support multiple projects in a cross-functional environment.
The Clinical Research Data Analyst will provide data management and data analysis for the Department of Otolaryngology/Cochlear Implant and Age-Related Hearing Loss Research Teams. This position will work with researchers to design and implement database functionality, help articulate their data needs, define data request requirements, and fulfill data requests. The position will work with a wide variety of healthcare data. The position functions as a data engineer for Department of Otolaryngology/Cochlear Implant and Age-Related Hearing Loss Research Teams for meeting various research data / reporting requirements.
Create/maintain database functionality based upon data type, experiment designs, and research needs.
Maintain documentation and respond to database requests.
Create data reports and dashboards
Evaluate data quality and suggest approaches for data cleansing and ensuring data completeness and correction.
Review database specification. Design, review and write documentation.
Provide analysis, implementation and support of programmatic solutions including some application development as needed.
Collaborating with:
Provide technical or application support to users.
Follow established core practices and processes.
Contribute ideas. Seek ways to improve assigned processes.
Work in a cross-functional team environment and coordinate work/activities.
Multi-task on multiple projects for different roles and responsibilities.
Act as a database Subject Matter Expert for research teams.
