Job Details

On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Database Administrator for a contract opportunity in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Conduct peer reviews, help prepare technical documentation, and create and maintain operational data stores (ODS), data warehouses, and data mart applications. Coordinate builds and deployments across environments, perform administrative work as necessary, and manage Development, QA, and Production environments to ensure code is synchronized across all three environments. Install patches (hot fixes/software), restart services as needed, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot load and workflow issues.

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of overall IT experience
• 2 years of experience focused on ETL design, development, review, and testing
• 2 years of professional experience in Data Integration/Data warehouse environments
• 4 years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter
• 2 years of professional development experience in SQL Server 2005, 2008 or 2012
• Development experience in transforming XML messages and understanding of XML schemas
• Integration experience with source code repositories (Subversion, Team Foundation Server)
• Experience working with offshore resources
• Experience working with vendors
• Over 2 years of experience in data warehouse/mart environments
• Experience building and implementing scalable, reliable, and high‑performance ETL architectures
• Understanding of modern software engineering principles, practices, and systems development methodologies
• Excellent ETL design skills and hands‑on experience in developing ETL mappings
• Hands‑on experience with Informatica administration work
• Demonstrated experience optimizing and troubleshooting poorly performing ETL mappings
• Strong knowledge of data governance and data management concepts and practices
• Strong knowledge of best practices for ETL development
• High proficiency understanding relational data models
• Advanced knowledge of XML, XSLT
• Strong knowledge of unit testing frameworks and SOAPUI
• Professional experience with SAP Data Integrator as a designer and developer is a plus
• Working experience with the insurance industry is a plus
