Job summary

MissionStaff, LLC. is seeking a Dynamic Database Administrator to maintain and optimize enterprise SQL Server environments in a hybrid role based in Springfield, MA.

You will support critical retail, distribution, and corporate operations while ensuring database reliability, performance, and security during modernization efforts. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, backups, recovery, and performance tuning, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills

Dynamic Database Administrator for Critical SQL Server Environments

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration in production environments.
• Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL), backups, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of index management, query optimization, and database security principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot database performance and availability issues effectively.
• Knowledge of replication, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills

Preferred Education and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant SQL Server administration experience.

Other Requirements

• This position is hybrid, requiring a minimum of three days onsite per week in Springfield, MA.
• On-call rotation is weekly among team members, including after-hours support.
• Flexibility for remote work when necessary.
