Job summary

CyberPoint International seeks a Database Administrator to maintain security, availability and performance of mission-critical databases in a full-time, onsite role in Maryland. You will work across Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE environments, manage user access and support disaster recovery while developing security and integrity policies.

Active TS/SCI + FSP clearance is required; Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is expected.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph.
• Minimum 5 years of DBA experience on similar programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience with database security, user access management and monitoring.
• Experience with performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with index maintenance and monitoring.
• Experience supporting disaster recovery activities.
• Knowledge of database lifecycle practices for performance and availability.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design concepts.

As a Database Administrator at CyberPoint, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, security, availability and performance of mission-critical databases. You will support database administration and software lifecycle activities while ensuring systems meet operational, security and performace requirements.

You will work across database environments to manage user access, monitor and optimize database performance, support disaster recovery and develop and maintain policies and procedures that protect the integrity and availability of critical data.

What You'll Do

• Administer, maintain and monitor databases to ensure their security, integrity, availability and performance.
• Perform database administration across Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE environments.

• Evaluate database requirements and recommend appropriate database management system (DBMS) solutions.
• Support data modeling activities through prototype database implementations.
• Organize and format data to support efficient querying and storage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and availability issues.
• Maintain technical documentation related to database administration, policies, procedures and configurations.
• Collaborate with software developers, systems administrators and other technical teams to support integrated solutions.

This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

• US Citizenship
• Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph
• At least 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) on programs or contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university
• Four (4) additional years of DBA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Experience with database security, user account administration and access management.
• Experience with database performance analysis, tuning and optimization.
• Experience with index maintenance and database monitoring.
• Experience supporting disaster recovery and database recovery activities.
• Knowledge of database lifecycle activities and practices for maintaining system performance and availability.
• Experience developing and implementing database security and integrity policies and procedures.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design concepts.
