Job Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operation, maintenance, and performance tuning of on-prem SQL Server instances and databases
  • Install, configure, and patch SQL Server environments, including managing SQL Server Agent jobs
  • Maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
  • Diagnose and resolve database‑related issues, providing support to application teams and vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems and processes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1‑3 years of experience in Information Technology
  • Strong understanding of database operations and performance tuning
  • Ability to work independently on routine database administration tasks
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn diverse database platforms
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Database Administration
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Familiarity with cloud database concepts, particularly Google Cloud SQL
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and scripting proficiency with T‑SQL, Python, or PowerShell
