blueStone is seeking a Database Administrator to design, administer, and maintain enterprise database systems including Oracle and SQL Server. The role involves tuning databases for performance and providing support for application projects. Strong intermediate RDBMS skills and familiarity with UNIX and Windows are required.

The Database Administrator designs, administers and maintains enterprise database systems, including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL and/or Progress. Works with development and infrastructure teams to implement new applications, enhancements, and upgrades. Tunes the databases for optimal performance and recommends improvements in the environment.
The Database Administrator will assist developers with tuning of code to ensure successful implementations and provides support for database architecture and systems. The Database Administrator participates in disaster recovery tests and manages backup processes and monitors growth of systems to proactively prevent issues from occurring. The Database Administrator will provide database design and support for application and infrastructure projects and acts as a database subject matter expert.
