The Database Administrator (DBA) supports the agency’s enterprise data environment by designing high‑availability database solutions, developing data warehouse and business intelligence structures, optimizing system performance, and guiding database strategy. This role works closely with IT Architecture, CIO leadership, developers, and business partners to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable data systems. The position requires strong technical expertise in Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, data modeling, and enterprise data warehousing concepts.
60 months combined work experience in any combination of the following: designing and implementing high availability solutions, performing solutions design, providing technical Tier III database support, developing project plans with a project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to design, implementation, operation and ongoing maintenance of database systems including 12 months work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description and job posting; or completion of an associate core program in computer science or information systems; or completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems. Equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above is acceptable if the required, primary technology is possessed.
