Job summary

Data Visualization Engineer

On our team, you’ll use your leadership skills and data science expertise to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems. You’ll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. You Have:
  • Experience with data analysis such as recognizing and investigating data quality and various data types, including discerning structure and relationships within data
  • Experience with data visualization such as creating charts with basic design principles
  • Experience with data pipeline engineering such as executing data transformation stages
  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
  • Experience working in Foundry, including building or maintaining data pipelines with Code Repository
  • Knowledge of database-driven application development and design
  • Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders
  • Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements, work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs, be self-motivated, and pay strict attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including AI/ML

  • Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices
  • Knowledge of military terms

  • Master’s degree in CS, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
