Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Visualization Engineer to transform data into actionable insights across IoT, AI, and analytics initiatives. You will lead data analysis, visualization, and pipeline work, mentoring teams and delivering dashboards in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik for stakeholders across sectors.

We expect 5+ years in data analysis, visualization, and pipelines, plus proficiency in Python/R/SQL and Foundry experience.

Data Visualization Engineer

You’ll guide and mentor your team as you oversee the development of algorithms and systems. You’ll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to advise your clients as they make informed decisions. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to use data science solutions to help your clients meet their toughest challenges. You Have:

5+ years of experience with Data analysis, such as recognizing and investigating data quality and various data types, including discerning structure and relationships within data
5+ years of experience with Data visualization, such as creating charts with basic design principles
5+ years of experience with Data pipeline engineering, such as executing data transformation stages
4+ years of experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
Experience working in Foundry, including building or maintaining data pipelines with Code Repository
Knowledge of database-driven application development and design
Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry, Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements, work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs, be self-motivated, and pay strict attention to detail

Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Science, or Computer Engineering

Nice If You Have:

Experience with analytics and data science techniques, including AI/ML
Experience with DoD clients
Experience with Army data systems
Knowledge of front-end design and data visualization techniques and best practices
Knowledge of Military terms
Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and communicate with multiple functional groups
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Master’s degree in CS, Data Science, Computer Engineering or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD).
