Job summary

Milliken & Company is seeking a Data & Systems Coordinator to support the R&D/New Product Development portfolio within the Performance Colorants & Ingredients unit. The role ensures data integrity, structure, and usability across project data systems (PowerSteering) and enables informed decisions through accurate data governance.

Responsibilities

  • NPD Systems Ownership & Administration – serve as primary administrator for project tracking system.
  • Assist project managers with project data entry.
  • Maintain system structure, templates, and workflows in project and related systems.
  • Support users and troubleshoot issues.
  • Facilitate adoption of enhancements to the systems.
  • Collaborate with SME to implement AI in project data tracking.
  • Portfolio Reporting & Decision Support – generate reports to support strategic decision making.
  • Prepare data packages for recurring reviews and gate meetings.
  • Data Integrity & Governance – ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to data standards.
  • Perform routine audits across systems for completeness and accuracy.
  • Validate data completeness prior to gate meetings.
  • Resolve data discrepancies.
  • Follow up with project teams to close data gaps and escalates when required.
  • Training & Adoption – train teams on system usage and provide ongoing support.
  • Reinforce accountability for data quality.
  • Act as central contact for data/system questions.

POSITION TITLE

Data & Systems Coordinator – R& D/New Product Development

Position Overview

The Data & Systems Coordinator supports new product development efforts for the Performance Colorants & Ingredients business unit within the Polymer Solutions Strategic Business Unit. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, structure, and usability of project data across the R& D New Product Development portfolio. The role serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for project data systems, including PowerSteering, and enables effective decision‑making by ensuring project data is complete, accurate, and consistent. The position also supports stage‑gate governance by ensuring all deliverables are validated, structured, and ready for key decisions.

Job Responsibilities
  • NPD Systems Ownership & Administration

Qualifications – Required
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree required.

Technical Skills
  • Experience with PowerSteering or similar project tracking systems

  • Experience with dashboards (Power BI preferred)
The Successful Candidate Will Have Strengths In The Following
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • Previous experience in systems administration
  • Experience in R& D or product development preferred
