Job summary

Pearson is seeking an experienced Domain Lead to drive discovery and definition of core data products, bridging business strategy with data delivery. You will align enterprise priorities, guide investment decisions, and lead engagement with domain leaders to maximize business impact.

As central coordinator across data teams and executives, you will define roadmaps, articulate value, and secure buy-in while advancing data governance and quality standards within Pearson's Global Data organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, CS, engineering, data science, or related field; MBA/CBAP or data certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data products, technology, or product-driven organizations.
• Working knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Familiarity with data processing, ELT and ETL pipelines, and data migration practices.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Relationship building and the ability to influence without authority.
• Proactive, strategic problem-solver who independently identifies opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Define and prioritize scope, goals, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and milestones across data product initiatives.
• Own communication of business objectives and drive delivery through ambiguity and complexity across data teams, OCTO teams, stakeholders, and executives.
• Develop clear, compelling narratives for data products to secure stakeholder buy-in and executive support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to drive problem definition and value articulation with measurable success metrics.
• Partner with engineering teams to clarify expectations and ensure delivery of measurable value.
• Measure and communicate the business impact of domain and data initiatives.
• Collaborate across the Global Data organization to advance data quality, governance, and sustainability standards.
