Job summary

Relevance Lab in San Francisco seeks a Data Strategy/Governance Lead to drive digital transformation initiatives. You will define the data vision, design the operating model, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver value across the organization.

You will mentor teams, engage executives, and measure performance with KPIs while ensuring data integrity and security throughout projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data strategy or digital transformation.
• Proven track record leading major data or digital transform end-to-end.
• Strong fundamentals in how data is structured, organized, modeled and managed.
• Experience designing data operating models and enterprise strategies.
• Hands-on with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
• Knowledge of AI/ML use cases and enabling ML in business processes.
• Excellent program and project management across global teams.

Data Strategy/Governance- Lead (Digital Transformation Projects)

• Data Strategy Development:
• Define and articulate the organization's data vision and strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Identify key data initiatives that support digital transformation efforts and drive business value.
• Project Management:
• Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of data projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies to manage multiple data initiatives simultaneously.
• Data Operating Model Design:
• Design and implement a robust data operating model that encompasses data governance, architecture, and management practices.
• Establish processes for data collection, storage, processing, and analysis to ensure data integrity and security.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Communicate data strategy and initiatives effectively to various audiences, including executive leadership.
• Performance Measurement:
• Develop metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of data initiatives and the overall data strategy.
• Continuously monitor and refine the data strategy based on performance insights and changing business needs.
• Team Leadership:
• Mentor and guide team members in data management best practices and project management methodologies.
