Job summary

United Way of Connecticut, Inc is recruiting a Data Steward for a hybrid role in Rocky Hill, CT. The candidate will manage data quality for Child Care Services, define data elements, and maintain documentation while collaborating across Care 4 Kids, 211 Child Care and other teams.

The role emphasizes data integrity, testing, reporting, and process improvement, with a 2-3 day remote schedule and a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM workday. Competitive compensation applies based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and one year of experience; or
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field and three years of experience; or
• One year of post-secondary education and five years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Define data elements and assist in establishing policies and procedures related to the collection and accuracy of data.
• Document, implement and support database usage standards.
• Develop and maintain business process documentation.
• Research, evaluate and verify providers’ completion of Provider Orientation Project (POP) training.
• Communicate verified provider results to appropriate Care 4 Kids and 211 Child Care team members.
• Assess and monitor data to ensure quality, consistency and integrity.
• Create and deliver ad-hoc and institutional reports.
• Collaborate with key business team members to resolve issues related to data standards and definitions.
• Participate in user acceptance testing to ensure defined system requirements are met.
• Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends.
• Report outcomes and measurements and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Enter accurate case data, including narrative and statistical records of client contacts.
• Maintain reporting schedules to ensure defined deliverables are accurate and completed on time.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current systems, identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
