Job summary

Peraton seeks a Data Steward to support DCDC with DCO and AI Cyber Security. Location: Fort Meade, MD. Role includes ensuring data quality, maintaining dictionaries, and supporting stewardship across analytic platforms in line with policy and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities include data quality monitoring, metadata management, data validation, SchemaOne compliance, and collaboration with data producers and consumers. US citizenship and DoD TS/SCI clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Associate with +10 years or HS +12 years considered.
• Experience with data quality tools and methods
• Knowledge of data profiling and validation
• SQL and data analysis skills
• Understanding of metadata management

Job Locations: US-MD-Fort Meade

Responsibilities

Peraton seeks a Data Steward to support Department of War Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO and AI Cyber Security Support.

Location: Fort Meade, MD.

In this role, you will ensure data quality, maintain data dictionaries, and support data stewardship activities across DCDC analytic platforms. You will maintain the quality, usage, privacy, and security of data, following company policies and regulatory compliance requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve data quality
• Maintain data dictionaries and metadata
• Perform data validation and profiling
• Support SchemaOne compliance
• Coordinate with data producers and consumers
• Document data quality issues and resolutions

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. Will consider Associate with +10 years or HS +12 years of experience.
• Experience with data quality tools and methods
• Knowledge of data profiling and validation
• Able and willing to reach out to unfamiliar contacts without any prior relationship or warm introduction, typically over the phone, e.g. cold calling
• SQL and data analysis skills
• Understanding of metadata management
• Attention to detail
• Possible travel and weekend hours as mission requires
• U.S Citizenship required
• DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Data Steward (CDS) or other data quality certification
• Familiarity with Data Stewardship Body of Knowledge (DSBOK)
• 8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Management or a related field

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
