Equifax, Inc. is seeking a Data Stewart to drive excellence across data pipelines and collaborate on cutting-edge data practices. You will contribute to data standards, governance, and the strategic application of data assets to support financial services initiatives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, own data quality initiatives, and help shape early-stage data product innovations while developing deep knowledge of the data and technology supporting the product.

Data Standards: Proficiency in fundamental data requirements, including discoverability, and trustworthiness; collaborate with cross‑functional teams to uphold these technical supporting practices and asset interoperability
Business Initiatives: Active involvement in projects aimed at maximizing the strategic utility and business application of data assets
New Ventures: Participation in early‑stage development cycles for emerging data product innovations.
Pipeline Proficiency: Comprehensive knowledge of data pipeline workflows, providing direct assistance for one or more core processes critical to the data product lifecycle.
Data Quality Initiatives: Direct accountability for building and supporting automated, threshold‑driven reporting systems to pinpoint improvement areas; ensures rapid response to alerts based on commercial significance.
Operational Excellence: Leverage threshold‑based analysis to detect and investigate inconsistencies; execute timely remediation plans that align with organizational priorities and impact.
Business Partnership and Consulting - Shares basic knowledge of the markets, strategies, and operating environments for a product
Depth of Technical Knowledge - Developing detailed knowledge of the data and technology supporting a data product
Product Thinking - Begins to apply Product Thinking in carrying out job responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation - Ability to communicate the strategy for a given data product to others
Technology Advising and Consulting - Shares basic knowledge about the technology supporting a data product
Technical Communication and Presentation - Ability to tune written and verbal technical communications to specific audiences
Bachelor's degree in related discipline
2- 5 years of data analysis, product owner, and/or consulting experience regarding data,preferably financial services data
Familiarity with cloud and on prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data
Familiarity with SQL and BI Tools (Python, Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, etc.) and desktop application suites (Microsoft or Google)
2-5 years of experience with data and business insights analysis which identify and drive ongoing excellence in data quality practices
A strong sense of governance protocols, the need to respect highly sensitive data and proactive attention to regulatory, security and compliance driven policies
Demonstrates leadership with cross‑functional efforts; develops effective working relationships with peers, managers, and senior management within and across organizational lines
Experience with Collibra, or similar metadata management tool
Master's Degree strongly preferred
