Job summary

BrickRed Systems is seeking a Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise semantic models using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Direct Lake, and Power BI. You will drive scalable, governed data architectures across Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Technology.

The role requires 10+ years in data/solution architecture with deep expertise in Fabric, Power BI, and data governance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Analytics Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Semantic Layer Architecture, and Data Modeling.
• Experience with Direct Lake, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Fabric Lakehouses.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, composite models, aggregation tables, and deployment pipelines.
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance, RLS, OLS, dataset certification, and metadata management.
• Strong understanding of SOX Compliance, audit controls, and enterprise data governance.
• Experience integrating third-party BI platforms and AI/LLM technologies with enterprise semantic models.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and solution architecture skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement enterprise semantic models using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Direct Lake, and Power BI.
• Build scalable, reusable, and governed semantic layers across Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR, and Technology.
• Define enterprise standards for data modeling, certified datasets, reusable measures, and semantic model governance.
• Implement RLS, OLS, sensitivity labels, and enterprise governance policies.
• Ensure SOX-compliant data lineage, audit controls, and change management for financial reporting.
• Design integrations between Microsoft Fabric and BI platforms including Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, MicroStrategy, Grafana, and Excel.
• Enable AI-driven analytics by integrating semantic models with Azure OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and other LLM-powered solutions.
• Collaborate with business leaders and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews, establish best practices, and provide technical leadership across multiple workstreams.
